Sibel Coskuner had 20 years top management experience in the banking sector with Citibank Turkey, Deutsche Bank Turkey and Royal Bank of Canada Turkey offices; with corporate, investment and private banking divisions.

Sibel Coşkuner holds a B.S. degree from Middle East Technical University (1984) in Industrial Engineering and an M.S. degree (1986) in Industrial Engineering from Boğaziçi University. During her M.S. studies, she was a research assistant at the Industrial Engineering department. She was also a guest lecturer for MBA students of Yeditepe University while at Citibank.

She started painting in 1998. Then she worked with artist Şiva Movasaghi at her workshop, starting in 2001, and and she has been working at her own workshop since 2005. Her paintings are in the beginning were oil on canvas, then she did acrylic and mixed techniques on canvas.

Her continuous search for the material and the expression, is reflected through her works.

She expresed the feelings of the people who long for the eternal beauty, with her paintings and the 7 minute film she made, during her first private exhibition 'Longing for Eternity'. In 2005, rotarians gave her the first prize for their 100th year anniversary painting competition, for her works under the theme 'Longing for Eternity'.

For her second private exhibition, she worked under the theme, 'Mirror Effect, Reflecting and Being Reflected'; good, bad, friend and enemy, everbody is acting like a mirror for each other. She also worked with glass, using fusion technique and formed her glass sculptures. She formed a new technique with glass, by fusing her paintings on canvas, between two sheets of glass. Under the theme 'Mirror' she applied fused glass on some of her paintings and some of her paintings are completely made of fused glass. She gathered her works with glass, under a sub theme called 'Glass through canvas and canvas through glass'.

Her private exhibition 'Mirror Effect, Reflecting and Being Reflected' is exhibited on May 6th-28th , 2006 at İlayda Art Galery. And also on June 1st-30th , 2006 at Trio Hillside.

The artist's works are present also outside Turkey in USA, Switzerland and UK with the private collectors. One of her sculptures under the theme ''Mirror'' is placed at the Roger Williams University, Architecture and Plastic Arts Galery in Rhode Island; Bristol, USA.

She started to work under the theme 'Breath' for her future exhibition; thinking that breath is a major miracle in the human body, which combines body, mind and soul.

The artist’s search for the idea, material and expresion will continue, along with her desire for the search of eternity.

Sibel Coşkuner believes in the harmony of art and business life with being active in sports and in the non profit organizations. Considering her personal life she tries to keep this harmony.
